What Is The Agoge Diet

The Agoge diet is not the easiest diet to follow. It actually has a very strict regime. The diet follows a strict protocol of following a low protein, low fat, high fiber, high water, low energy (Kcal), and low glycemic index. This makes this type of diet hard for many people to follow and keep consistent.

However, if you can follow this tough diet, it has been shown to promote weight loss.

Because it follows a low protein, low fat, high fiber, high water, low energy (Kcal), and low glycemic index. The diet includes eating a lot of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, lean protein, and low-fat dairy products.

The name originates from Ancient Greek. Agoge was named through the rigorous training and education program that all spartan males followed. This rigorous training and education program helped shape males into Spartan soldiers. These Spartan soldiers became loyal members of the state.
